THE Premier League season is still just under a month away but managers are already feeling the heat according to the bookies.

With huge financial gains and losses at stake, owners are wasting little time in swinging the axe following a poor run of form.

Crystal Palace wasted no time in sacking De Boer last season

Last season Crystal Palace sacked new manager Frank de Boer after just five matches in charge.

This time all eyes will be on the likes of Maurizio Sarri and Unai Emery who make their Premier League debuts.

But the favourite to receive the chop first remains Watford's Javi Gracia.

The Hornets have a reputation of being ruthless when it comes to sacking their managers.

Gracia is the club's fourth boss in less than three years following the appointment of Quique Sanchez Flores.

He will be confident of getting points on the board early with their first three fixtures coming against Brighton, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Southampton's Mark Hughes is second favourite to leave first after his late Premier League escape last season.

And Leicester's Claude Puel, who was under pressure for the Foxes' remarkable drop in form during the second half of last season, is third.

The Premier League Sack Race

Javi Gracia 4/1
Mark Hughes - 6/1
Claude Puel - 8/1
Rafa Benitez - 8/1
Roy Hodgson - 10/1
Neil Warnock - 16/1

Sarri heads into the betting at 16/1 and Emery is highly unlikely to be dismissed or quit at 25/1.

But the biggest outsider remains Pep Guardiola after guiding Man City to the league title last season.
