WBC champ Wilder is set to take on Joshua next April but has set to sign the contract.

And Hearn says the American needs to hurry up and agree a deal otherwise Whyte is waiting in the wings.

He told Sky Sports podcast Toe to Toe: "It’s up to Wilder and we will see what happens, we won’t wait on him forever.

“Look at Dillian Whyte, if Dillian Whyte manages to stop Joseph Parker - you can not deny Dillian Whyte the shot at Anthony Joshua.

“If Wilder does not sign to fight Joshua and Whyte wins, that’s the Wembley fight. It’s a great fight.

“But I have to stress, 100 per cent the focus is the Wilder fight after Povetkin because now we’ve got to focus on that, a very dangerous fight."

Tyson Fury's return to the ring has sparked talk of the Gypsy King taking on Joshua.

And Hearn admitted the chances of that fight are far from dead in the water, but he'll need to step up his future opponents.

He added: “AJ would fight Tyson Fury now. AJ wants to fight everybody, AJ wants to fight the best and Fury has got to show that he is still the best but he is a top-top heavyweight.

“When we spoke to Fury I mapped it out.

“Right come back, have an easy fight then fight Tony Bellew, Sefer Seferi, the main reason we didn’t sign Tyson Fury was because I refused the opponents he [Fury] was suggesting.

“Because I get enough stick as it is, if I made Sefer Seferi you might not have seen me again.

“So I said let’s have a comeback fight then Tony Bellew, Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua, they are the fights.

“But he knows within himself what he needs and what he needed was, according to him, three or four right easy touches."
