But his debut season on Merseyside was cut short with a serious knee injury against Manchester United.

The DR Congo international returned last year under new boss Sam Allardyce, but struggled for form and fitness making just 16 Premier League appearances.

Big Sam has been replaced by Marco Silva, who alongside new director of football Marcel Brands have been told to trim the squad.

New Fenerbahce boss Phillip Cocu is set to make a raft of changes to his squad and is keen to add the pacey forward to his ranks.

Bolasie has a further three years remaining on his contract with Everton, but the Yellow Canaries can offer him Champions League football.

Fenerbahce have already signed Berke Ozer, Baris Alici and Kadioglu this summer.

The club are looking to win the Turkish Super Lig for the first time since 2014 after finishing an agonising three behind champions Galatasaray last term.
