The four-time world champion is going in search of his FIFTH straight British GP victory this weekend.

Britain's most successful F1 driver and highest-paid athlete will be cheered on by over 350,000 fans over the three days at
Silverstone - and Merc chief Toto Wolff wants him to stay.

He said: "Lewis is 33 and I think he has another five very good years in him, and yes, we want that to be with Mercedes for
that.

"I am open-minded as, if in two years time we still feel the same about each other, I think it would be clear that we continue."

Hamilton juggles his racing with his fledging fashion career, not to mention his latest musical release, rumour to be a backing
singer on Christina Aguilera's latest single.

Wolff acknowledges that his "high-maintenance" superstar driver requires "sensitive" management, not to mention the freedom to do what he pleases, within reason.

He added: "You need a lion in the car that is giving it everything. The best ones are also sensitive.

"If you are just losing a race we have to acknowledge and we have to explain to him in order to put him in a better place,
because as a driver you are disconnected to everything.

"You don't know who is behind you, you don't know how the race pans out. Suddenly you are confronted with this situation that is
very difficult to understand.

"I think you need to realise that we are all different and be not judgemental to that.

"Where I sit in my role the importance is to extract the best performance from each of the individuals.

"Lewis is the visible superstar in the car with great abilities but there are engineers that have irreplaceable abilities.

"The way he functions is he knows best how to function and what is detrimental or not.

"Exceptional individuals you just have to accept that they have opinions, strong opinions and views and strong drive.

"That determination to win and that ambition in a situation is not an easy character trait to deal with. But it is just what we
want in the team.

"The super nice, polite guy is not what we want. We want the guys that scores the goals and wins the trophies so I embrace high
maintenance."

Hamilton underlined his intention for a record sixth British GP win and was quickest in the first session on Friday at
Silverstone.

He said: "As the years go on, you appreciate the support more and more.

"In 2007, it was already pretty cool. And then winning in 2008; I really will never forget that day. I just hope I can wave the flag for a little bit longer."
