Hulk Hogan reinstated into WWE Hall of Fame despite racism shame

Image
WWE have reinstated shamed wrestler and self-proclaimed racist Hulk Hogan into their Hall of Fame. Hogan was filmed making a series of sickening racist remarks in 2007 and when they surfaced in 2015 he was sacked by the WWE and erased from their history. The short and vague statement read: “After a three-year suspension, Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. “This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. “These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame.” BREAKING: After a three-year suspension, @HulkHogan has been reinstated into the @WWE Hall of...

WWE SmackDown results: Daniel Bryan, Kane and Nakamura impress but blood brand needs a reboot

Image
EXTREME Rules is just days away, so it was up to the superstars of SmackDown LIVE to crank up the excitement ahead of the big show. Did the blue brand get extreme? Or just extremely dull? Here are five things we learnt from last night’s SmackDown. Daniel Bryan was at his high-flying best on SmackDown Team Hell No and The New Day rocks together Things started with The Miz interviewing Daniel Bryan and Kane – another chance for Miz and Bryan to squabble and add more fuel to the fire of their impending feud. But it was cut short when The Bludgeon Bros and nutty trio SAnitY arrived for a beat-down  - prompting The New Day to run out for fun 5-on-5 brawl. As is standard, the teams joined forces later in the night for a 10-man tag team match. Daniel Bryan hit Eric Young with a running knee for the win Bryan hit Eric Young with a running knee for the win. (Amusingly, Young was Impact Wrestling’s bargain basket version of Bryan when the rival promotion ripped off the Bryan v Authority storyl...

Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley are getting extreme, Alexa Bliss gave Nia Jax some stick and Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman are cage-bound

WITH Extreme Rules just days away, the superstars of Raw have thrown out the rulebook for some unpredictable and exciting action last night. Here are five things we learnt from the 'go home' edition of Raw. Roman Reigns flies over the top rope on Monday Niight Raw Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley can’t wait to get extreme Ahead of their match this Sunday, Roman called out Bobby Lashley for a showdown. As expected, it quickly turned into an all-out brawl. Raw GM Kurt Angle stood helpless at the top of the ramp as superstars piled out from the locker room to separate the two men. WWE tries these realistic brawls every now and then, with varying degrees of success. Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley go for each other WWE Superstars try to separate Reigns and Lashley The crowd seemed into it for the most part, but it was lacking the legitimacy and edge of similar segments – such as Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe’s pull-apart last year. Reigns saved it when he took a spectacular dive over ...

WWE should cherish Brock Lesnar returning to UFC with their Universal title in his grasp

Image
BROCK Lesnar shocked MMA fans over the weekend when he stormed the octagon at UFC 226. He cut an expletive-filled promo and shoved Daniel Cormier to set up a heavyweight title fight next year - but WWE fans were less shocked to see The Beast back in the octagon. Getty Brock Lesnar could fight Daniel Cormier as early as January Between Lesnar’s depleting appearances, Paul Heyman’s kayfabe social media, and Lesnar’s real-life contract wrangling, fans suspected he was heading back to UFC. But Brock is current (reigning, defending, undisputed etc) Universal Champion. Lesnar’s return to UFC will prompt fan speculation that Lesnar is soon finished with WWE – and that he should drop the Universal Championship. Surely he can’t walk into a UFC fight as a top tier WWE champ? It will ruin the cred of the Universal belt. It will expose the business of pro wrestling. It’s an insult to the fans. The Beast Brock Lesnar is still the king of the WWE ring DC calls out Brock Lesnar! LESNAR IS IN THE CA...

WWE SmackDown Live: Daniel Bryan and Kane put Team Hell No back on the map and Shinsuke Nakamura faces Jeff Hardy at Extreme Rules

Image
4th July 2018, 1:55 pm == WITH two weeks to go until Extreme Rules on July 15, things are shaping up on SmackDown LIVE. Team Hell No is back, AJ Styles is preparing for Rusev Day, and there’s big news for the US title. Here are 5 things we learnt from SmackDown last night. Red demon Kane and fans' favourite Daniel Bryan are back together Team Hell No’s first match back together was a big “hell yes” Daniel Bryan and Kane opened the show with an amusing promo, bickering over their, erm, troubled past – such as the time Kane tried to kidnap Bryan’s wife. (Team Hell No have always been most entertaining when they’re lampooning the sheer ridiculousness of pro wrestling – see their anger management classes.) But Bryan and Kane got back on the same page when The Usos came out to mock their hugging – leading to a match later in the show. Kane and Daniel Bryan have argued in the past but made up If The Usos won, they’d be added to the tag title match at Extreme Rules, but Bryan and Kane ...
