FRANKIE DETTORI has appealed against a ten-day ban for careless riding that would rule him out of Glorious Goodwood and the Group 1 King George.
The Italian rider was left 'devastated' after the ruling at Newmarket and hopes to have his suspension reduced.

Partnering Angel's Hideaway in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes last week, Dettori was deemed responsible for veering right on his filly towards the end of the contest, carving up both the well-fancied Main Edition and La Pelosa.
Immediately afterwards, stewards found the Italian guilty of careless riding, judging him to have allowed his mount to shift right without sufficient correction.
The ban couldn't have come at a worse time for the forty-seven-year-old, who was set to have an enviable book of rides at Goodwood for his patron, John Gosden.
Stradivarius, Without Parole and Coronet are all likely to line up on the Sussex Downs, but could now be missing their regular rider if the ban is not reduced.
Dettori said on Monday: "The appeal has gone in this morning."
The rider will be lodging complaints against both the finding and the penalty, according to CEO of the Professional Jockeys' Association, Paul Struthers.
Dettori is not the only one to have had a ban for careless riding in the past week - French rider Pierre-Charles Boudot was suspended for 15 days after veering off a straight line in the United States.
