WWE have revealed star Lars Sullivan suffered a broken jaw during his NXT Title match against Aleister Black.
The Rocky Mountain monster’s injury occurred at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II a fortnight ago as he attempted to snatch the belt from the Dutch Destroyer.

Sullivan was unsuccessful in his quest to become champion after he was caught with a “Black Mass”.
However, shattered dreams and a bruised ego were not the only thing that the unsuccessful challenger went home with.
The full extent of the damage occurred during the physical showdown was revealed during the latest episode of NXT, which aired this morning.
It was also later confirmed on Twitter as WWE shared an X-ray of the 29-year-old’s skull showing a huge crack in his jaw line.

The picture was accompanied with a caption saying: “@LarsSWWE left Chicago without the #NXTChampionship... and with a broken jaw. #WWENXT.”
WWE has not yet confirmed how long Sullivan will be out of action for.
Meanwhile Black is now searching for his next challenger.
And he could have found it in Tommaso Ciampa after the Psycho Killer confronted him on this week’s NXT.
