JERMAINE McGillvary has made a stunning admission – he could give up rugby league tomorrow.
And he may either set himself up as a property tycoon or a personal trainer.

But the England winger is not about to drop everything and ride into the sunset. He is just showing that the game is not everything to him.
Huddersfield man McGillvary is thinking about life after playing and has options. He owns a number of properties in the area and is a level three qualified personal trainer.
“I could easily give up rugby and work if I have my family,” said the 30-year-old. “I could do that tomorrow if that meant my kids have a good life.
“Rugby is only a small part of my life. Some players may live and breathe it but my missus and children is my life and has been for the last 12 years. I’ve got quite a few properties so I could live off those for a while but I’m not one to just sit at home and be lazy.
“I’m not entirely sure what I want to invest in, whether its more properties or to set up my own business. I’m at that crossroads now and rugby league isn’t a long career.”

Before McGillvary can think about life after rugby, he and Huddersfield have the immediate aim of finishing in Super League’s top eight.
The Giants are only outside on points difference with just four games before the big split so Simon Woolford’s men must produce the goods, starting with tonight’s clash with Hull.
And McGillvary is eager to get towards the form that made him a World Cup star last year, even though he got the nod for England against New Zealand in Denver.
Reaching that point would also mean his policy of forgetting everything that happened in the previous 12 months has paid benefits.
McGillvary added: “It was easy this year, especially with the start I had. I suffered two injuries and didn’t play many games. I’ve not been in great form either, I’ve not been great compared to my own standards. I’ve not been setting the world alight.”
