UFC star Luke Rockhold is sidelined for around three months after stitches on a gruesome leg injury burst open.
The former middleweight champion suffered the savage injury in his February UFC 221 loss to Yoel Romero but had recovered.

The 33-year-old part-time model was on the comeback trail, having stepped up to light-heavy where he wanted to become a two-weight UFC champion.
But the face of Ralph Lauren aftershave suffered a sickening injury when the shin wound split and now requires a second round of surgery.
The California ace is now facing a fight to be back in the UFC octagon inside 2018 as he heals up and then requires a fight camp for his move into the 205lbs division.
Back in September Rockhold suffered another ghastly leg injury when his right foot swelled up and he lost all feeling in the limb.

The former middleweight champion won his first bout back after losing the belt to British MMA legend Michael Bisping.
He beat David Branch by TKO on Saturday night in Pittsburgh. But it came at some cost.
Rockhold shared photos on social media of huge swelling to his feet following numerous kicks at his beaten opponent Branch.
He captioned the photos: "I can't feel my feet".
The only good part of the photos was that the fighter was chilling at a rooftop pool in Pittsburgh.
It was the sweetest of returns to the cage on Saturday for the 32-year-old as he banished memories of his crushing defeat to UFC legend Bisping in June last year.
At the UFC Fight Night 116 main event, Rockhold stopped Branch 4mins 5secs into the second round with a flurry of heavy punches.
He was itching for a rematch against Bisping but the MMA pioneer has now retired after dropping the belt to Georges St-Pierre.
